Christopher D. Morris DDS, MD, FACS is a board certified oral maxillofacial surgeon whose surgical focus is on restoration of the aesthetics and function of the face and mouth.
Dr. Morris attended Loma Linda University School of Dentistry, where he obtained his dental degree (D.D.S) and graduated #1 in his class. He, then, went on to receive his medical degree (M.D.) from The University of Texas Southwestern Medical School. He is a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons (F.A.C.S.)
He completed 6 years of residency in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery, including an internship in General Surgery and a Chief Resident year in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery, at the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center.
Prior to joining the Center for Oral and Facial Surgery Dr. Morris was in private practice in the DFW area with an academic appointment at John Peter Smith Hospital where he ran a clinic focused on facial pain and temporomandibular disorders. He also managed facial trauma at both Adult and Pediatric Level I Trauma Centers.
Dr. Morris has published peer-reviewed articles and textbook chapters on subjects ranging from facial anatomy, nerve injury, and management of pediatric and adult maxillofacial trauma. He has presented both nationally and internationally. Dr. Morris is a member of the American Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons (AAOMS), the American Dental Association (ADA), the Texas Dental Association (TDA), and the American College of Surgeons (ACS).
